Who am I?
My name is Germain Jung, I am a 63 years old guy who lives in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and I am working in the computer business. I do photography as a leisure activity.
What is Outline Media?
Outline Media is the website I use to present my photography work.
Photography
Like most young people, I got a photo camera when I was a child. In 1995 I bought my first professional like SLR, a Nikon F90x. Playing with it allowed me to achieve some experience and learn how to take good pictures. People say I have a good vision for motives and framing.
My activities today
Over the time I got a crush for people photography. I started at an improvised studio at home in my living room and did a couple of shoots there. It wasn't very easy to do them, so, after a while I decided to progress and I rented a location where I installed my studio. It is quite big and I use a very professional equipment.

Video
I started shooting little movies on Super 8 mid of the 70's, first with a Revue S5. In 1978 I decided to get a better camera and I bought the awesome Canon Autozoom 1014. Due to the quite expensive raw material I always needed to limit my activities.
End of the 80's there was a time where I used a VHS camcorder but the bad image quality and the impossibility of editing without loosing yet more quality were very frustrating.
In 1995 I discovered digital video (DV) and three years later I started to use it. At the beginning I edited the videos with Adobe Premiere, later I used Final Cut Pro on Apple Macintosh.
Because of the photography, taking so much of my free time, I don't do a lot of video anymore... |
